Russian troops are currently doing everything possible to prevent the further advance of Ukrainian defenders in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions.
In particular, the occupiers tried to restore the lost position in the area north of Priyutny, Zaporizhzhia region, but these attempts were unsuccessful, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes.
Meanwhile, the defense forces of Ukraine continue to advance in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions.
There, the Ukrainian military is entrenched at the reached boundaries, inflicts artillery fire on detected enemy targets, and carries out counter-battery countermeasures.
In the Maryinsk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to deter the advance of Russian troops in the Novomykhailivka and Maryinka districts of the Donetsk region.
Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled the attack of the Russian army:
- southwest of Masyutivka, Kharkiv region, in the Kupyansk direction,
- on the southwestern outskirts of Klishchiivka in the direction of Bakhmut,
- in the Nevelskyi district in the Avdiiv direction.
