The strikes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Chongar bridges, which connect Crimea with the mainland of Ukraine, have complicated the logistics of Russian troops.

This is stated in the report of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain.

It is noted that as of mid-August, the occupiers continue to set up pontoon crossings at the Chongar and Henichesk checkpoints on the border of the Kherson region with occupied Crimea.

Both bridges were damaged by high-precision strikes of the Armed Forces in early August 2023.

– The pontoon bridges are unlikely to be able to fully withstand the flow of heavy vehicles transporting ammunition and weapons to the front, – noted in British intelligence.

The formation of traffic jams on pontoon crossings means that Russian troops choose a long route through Armyansk for the transportation of equipment.

– This adds additional difficulties to Russia’s logistics network in the south, – the summary emphasizes.

It will be recalled that on June 22, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit the Chongar bridg e with Storm Shadow missiles, as a result of which it was damaged.

For the second time, Ukrainian fighters struck the bridge in Chongar on July 29.

On August 6, the Armed Forces reported that they had hit two key communication routes of the occupiers – the Chongar and Henichesk automobile bridges.
