A strong defense package: Britain has agreed to provide Ukraine with long-range weapons – Zelenskyy

Great Britain is ready to provide Ukraine with a defense package with long-range weapons.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following the negotiations with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
– We have a strong defense package from Great Britain. We agreed on a large number of armored vehicles, the supply of long-range weapons and agreed to start training Ukrainian pilots. I believe that this is our clear signal – to Ukraine and Great Britain – that we are not only going together, but will go through this entire difficult path to our joint victory, – Zelenskyy said.
He added that the visit to the United Kingdom was extremely productive.
– I thank Prime Minister Sunak for understanding our needs, for very apt advice and for solutions that will help Ukrainian soldiers to become even stronger. I thank His Majesty the King for today’s meeting, for our conversation. Thank you to all the members of the British Parliament, who made it absolutely clear during my address that Britain will never betray its courageous spirit. And I thank everyone in the United Kingdom who was on the streets of London today – we saw it all – with Ukrainian flags and who paid attention to our visit, – noted Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The President emphasized that today it is clear that Ukraine and Great Britain are becoming true allies.
– We signed the Declaration of Unity with the Prime Minister – a document that records the principles of our cooperation and mutual support. Allied interaction and mutual support. This is a new level of relations, – the head of state said.
In addition, Zelenskyy added that the parties noted the achieved level of security, sanctions, political and economic cooperation and determined how the positions of the two states will be further strengthened.
– I want to personally thank you, Rishi, and all of Britain for their willingness to work with us for the full implementation of the Ukrainian peace formula. And it is from here that I want to say to all our soldiers, every Ukrainian soldier, sergeant, officer and general: the state is doing and will do everything to ensure that our defenders on the front lines have maximum opportunities. The maximum that the advanced countries of the world have today. Ukraine will be among those who possess everything necessary to protect our people, our independence, – he emphasized.
On February 8, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited London, where he had a meeting with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. In addition, the Ukrainian leader visited Buckingham Palace and met with the King of Great Britain, Charles III.
After the visit to Britain, the President of Ukraine went to Paris, where he met with the President of France Emmanuel Macron and the Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz.
