Ukraine currently has no evidence that Russian nuclear weapons have already been relocated to the territory of Belarus.

This was stated by MP, member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence Fedir Venislavskyi at a briefing.

– “At a meeting of the Committee, we listened to representatives of the Ukrainian intelligence community in a closed session. We cannot confirm that nuclear weapons are already on the territory of Belarus. The storage facility has been carefully prepared, but there is no documented fact of nuclear weapons transfer,” he said.

According to Venislavskyi, the Ukrainian authorities are consolidating the efforts of the international community to prevent threats that could arise from such a potential transfer.

Earlier, Russian dictator Putin said that Russia would start deploying tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus in July, when the relevant facilities are ready.

In late May, Lukashenka said that Russian nuclear weapons had already begun to be moved to the territory of Belarus.

Analysts at the US-based Institute for the Study of War have suggested that Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin is consolidating his control over Belarus through the transfer of nuclear weapons.
