Production of some categories of drones in Ukraine increased 100 times – Fedorov
The production of certain categories of drones in Ukraine has increased 100-fold compared to last year.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov.
– “Production has already increased by more than 100 times in some categories compared to last year. We need even more drones. And there will be,” he stressed.
Fedorov commented on reports in Russian propaganda media that Russia has increased production of Lancet drones since the start of the full-scale war. This information was actively discussed the day before.
And in the morning of 17 July, another incident occurred on the Crimean Bridge, which connects the territory of the Russian Federation with the temporarily occupied Crimea.
– Yesterday, a video from the production of Russian Lancet drones broke the web. And today, the Crimean bridge was blown up by naval drones. And this will be the case for every type of drone,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
Fedorov added that in times of war, it is better not to voice unnecessary details about weapons production, but to act and provide the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
As you know, Ukraine has adopted a number of decisions aimed at speeding up and simplifying drone production. In March, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution that accelerates the creation and delivery of Ukrainian drones to the frontline.
Subsequently, the Verkhovna Rada passed two bills to facilitate drone production in Ukraine. Components for the manufacture of UAVs were exempted from customs duties and VAT. The laws have already been signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
