Seven more missing Ukrainians were found in Israel, the death of three is being investigated – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
During the three days of hostilities in Israel, the operative headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, created to help Ukrainians, processed more than 700 appeals. Over the past day, our diplomats searched for seven citizens in the south of the country, who were still considered missing. They are safe now.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleg Nikolenko, announced this on the air of the telethon.
– Also, our embassy helped six families find temporary housing in Israel, plus diplomats are now dealing with a Ukrainian boy who was also rescued yesterday . He is being provided with medical care and psychological support, and his return to his relatives in Ukraine is being prepared, – he emphasized.
According to him, there is currently no new information about the dead or injured, except for two Ukrainian women.
– We have information about the possible death of three more Ukrainians – two in Israel and one in the Gaza Strip, but it has not been confirmed – Nikolenko added.
In addition, the diplomat reported that about 300 other citizens in Israel and 150 in the Gaza Strip, who cannot leave the country due to the cancellation of flights, have contacted the operational headquarters.
How Ukrainians can leave Israel
Nikolenko says that, despite the cancellation of flights, some companies continue to fly from Israel.
– The first way is the Ben-Gurion airport near Tel Aviv. Therefore, we advise citizens to check the possibilities of leaving the country by commercial airlines. In parallel, the operational headquarters and other departments of Ukraine are working on other alternative ways. Therefore, people who have left their contacts will receive appropriate instructions when there is an opportunity, – he explained.
At the same time, the situation with the exit from the Gaza Strip is more complicated, as active fighting continues there, therefore, as the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted, the evacuation of citizens can only take place under the condition of adequate security.
