Kuleba: F-16 aircraft will help Ukraine keep Russian ships away from grain corridor

Providing Ukraine with multifunctional F-16 light fighters will help ensure global food security.
This opinion was expressed by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on his Twitter account.
According to him, a squadron of such combat aircraft will help keep Russian warships and aircraft away from the Black Sea grain corridor.
– Providing Ukraine with F-16s will also help restore global food security. With a squadron of well-equipped F-16 fighters, Ukraine will be able to keep Russian warships and aircraft away from the Black Sea grain corridor, ensuring the uninterrupted flow of grain ships,” Kuleba emphasized.

The grain deal, which ensures the export of Ukrainian agricultural products through the Black Sea, is once again under threat. Russia threatens to block it after May 18. Negotiations between Ukraine, Turkey and Russia on this issue are scheduled for Friday, May 5, in Istanbul.
As you know, Ukraine has been calling on its allies to create an aviation coalition (similar to the tank coalition) and provide modern fighters such as F-16s for months. First, the United States, as the country of origin, must approve the transfer.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is convinced that Ukraine will receive modern aircraft, but only after a counteroffensive by the Armed Forces.
Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba shares the same opinion. According to him, the decision to provide F-16 fighter jets is a matter of time and will be linked to the results of the Ukrainian military counteroffensive.
