EU allocates €200 million to support internally displaced persons in Ukraine

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that the European Union would allocate €200 million to Ukraine to support internally displaced people.
The President of the EC announced this on Twitter.
Von der Leyen also recalled that since the beginning of the full-scale war, the EU countries have provided Ukraine with $4 billion in economic support and another €3.5 billion to help Ukrainians who left for the EU countries because of the war.
– Glad to announce a further €200 million in EU humanitarian aid for Ukraine at the Donors’ Conference. With this new pledge we tell the people of Ukraine: your fight is our fight. We are with you… I hope that many others will follow our example, – Ursula von der Leyen said.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Sweden on the eve announced $23 million in support from organizations providing humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians.
Recall that the Donors’ Conference was initiated by Sweden and Poland, which called for discussing how to support the sustainability of Ukrainian society and meet its needs in the long term, including funding for the reconstruction of the country, which Ukrainians still have to do.
