Stoltenberg: The achievements of the Armed Forces are measured not in kilometers, but in the destruction of the military capabilities of the Russian Federation
There are fierce battles on the front in Ukraine, but the Armed Forces have a number of achievements against the Russian occupiers.
This was announced by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at a press conference in Brussels.
Successes of Ukraine at the front
The politician emphasized that in recent months there has been no significant progress on the front line, unlike last year, when Ukraine liberated more than half of the territories occupied by Russia from the start of a full-scale invasion.
– However, from the point of view of military successes, the fact that the Ukrainians were able to hit Russian military facilities in the deep rear, destroying airplanes and helicopters. The fact that, essentially having no fleet, they were able to move the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation to Novorossiysk, which made it possible to unblock the Black Sea Grain Corridor… This is a great achievement, – Stoltenberg said.
According to the Secretary General, this achievement “is measured not in square kilometers, but in the destruction of Russian military capabilities.”
