Missile attacks in Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi: what is known about the Russian attack on Ukraine before the New Year
On New Year’s Eve, the Russian army again launched massive missile attacks on different cities in Ukraine. Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and other settlements came under enemy attacks.

Kyiv
In Kyiv, 22 victims are already known, and one more older man died. In general, explosions occurred in the capital’s Pecherskyi, Holosiivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, and Dniprovskyi districts, resulting in destruction.
A journalist from Japan was also wounded during the attack on Kyiv. Doctors are providing him with the necessary assistance, said the mayor of the capital Vitaliy Klitschko.

One of the explosions occurred between residential buildings in the Solomyansky district. Rocket fragments fell on Temp stadium in Sviatoshynskyi district, and Russian missiles shattered windows and panes on the Palats Ukraina.
A gas pipe was damaged between three houses in the Solomyansky district as a result of a rocket fragment falling. At another address, a rocket hit a private house, which was destroyed.
In the Holosiivskyi district, ancillary buildings were partially damaged as a result of a rocket fragment hitting a private garden. At another address, as a result of a missile fragment hitting a sports ground, windows in five administrative buildings were broken.
In the Pechersk district, a missile hit and destroyed sections of an inactive hotel from the first to the fifth floors. In the Dniprovskyi district, rocket fragments hit the green zone at two addresses.
Mykolaiv
Six people were wounded in Mykolaiv – three were hospitalized, and three more received medical aid on the spot, said the head of the regional military administration Vitaliy Kim.
Khmelnytskyi
The city of Khmelnytskyi was attacked by Russian invaders with rockets, resulting in two people being wounded. In the Khmelnytskyi region, at least four people were wounded as a result of the shelling, according to the RMA.
Zaporizhzhia
Explosions were also heard in Zaporizhzhia, where residential buildings were damaged as a result of rocket attacks. Information about the victims and destruction is being clarified, said Kyrylo Tymoshenko, adviser to the head of the Presidential Office.

Kramatorsk
The city council reports that the Russian army fired rockets at an industrial zone in Kramatorsk. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.
Local Telegram channels also reported explosions in Ternopil, Vinnytsia, and Kyiv regions, but there has been no updated information.
Explosions also occurred in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In particular, it is known about the strikes on the Crimean peninsula – explosions were heard in Yevpatoria and repeated in Dzhankoy.
