Electricity production has increased in Ukraine, but the deficit is still significant – Ukrenergo

On January 20, electricity production increased in Ukraine.

As reported by Ukrenergo, this happened due to the fact that one of the blocks of the TPP was out of repair, as well as a slight increase in generation at other TPPs and HPPs, as well as renewable energy sources.

In view of this, the capacity deficit has decreased, but is still significant.

– In the evening peak, the generation can cover a little more than three quarters of consumption, – reported in the NPC Ukrenergo.

Currently, all regional energy companies have been assigned consumption limits for the whole day, according to which regional energy companies in each region draw up schedules of scheduled hourly outages.
