More than 160 Ukrainian children abducted by the Russian Federation were found in Germany

Ukrainian law enforcement officers, in cooperation with their German colleagues, identified 161 Ukrainian children in Germany who were abducted by the Russian occupiers and forcibly deported to Russia and Belarus.

This was announced by the head of the National Police of Ukraine, Ivan Vyhivskyi, during a meeting in Berlin with the president of the Federal Criminal Police Office of Germany, Holger Münch.

– Thanks to our cooperation with law enforcement agencies of Germany in the direction of documenting war crimes of the Russian Federation, namely the deportation and forced transfer of Ukrainian children, the location of 161 Ukrainian children who were wanted as forcibly transferred to temporarily occupied territories or deported to the Russian Federation and Belarus was established in Germany, – said he.

Vyhivskyi noted that Ukraine also counts on the help of its partners in bringing Russian war criminals to justice both in Ukrainian courts and in the courts of other countries, and the military-political leadership of the Russian Federation in the International Criminal Court and special tribunals.

On April 4, Ukraine returned four more children from the Kherson region to the controlled territory.

It is about a 14-year-old girl with a disability, a 12-year-old boy and two 15-year-old boys. These children were forced to attend a Russian school, and their parents were forced to obtain passports of the aggressor country.
