There is a child among the victims: the mayor of Kyiv about this morning’s missile strikes
As a result of rocket attacks on an apartment building in Kyiv, there were casualties. Under the rubble of the building, there are still people whose voices can be heard outside.
Vitaliy Klitschko told reporter of ICTV Facts Olga Chaiko. According to him, a 7-year-old child was pulled out from under the rubble. The girl is in a stable condition, she is being treated in hospital. Now her mother is being rescued.

Klitschko cannot give an exact number of casualties as rescuers are still sorting out the rubble of the apartment building. The voices of civilians are heard from there.
According to Serhiy Shevchuk, head of the State Emergency Situations Service in Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyy district, one casualty has been officially confirmed as of this moment. It is also known that there is a 36-year-old woman under the rubble, the mother of a girl who had previously been rescued.

– Sunday, 6.30. The shelling of our city again. Now there is a fire, the smoke is quite large. Several people have already been hospitalized with injuries. Rescue work continues, dismantling the debris. But we hear voices that there are people there. Firefighters do everything to get them as quickly as possible. High smoke and high probability of gas and smoke poisoning.
The baby has just been removed and is in stable condition. Now parents are being rescued – voices can be heard, but they can’t get them yet. Therefore, we cannot finally talk about the number of injured, wounded, and dead until we dismantle the blockages.
The situation is further complicated by heavy smoke, people do not want to flood with water because they can also die from large amounts of water. Many significant complications exist, but we do our best to save everyone quickly.
Klitschko noted that people who now have destroyed housing would not be left on the street. Everyone will be given a roof over their heads.
– Not a single person will be left on the street. We’ll give everyone an opportunity, a roof over their heads. We help everyone. Only by joining our efforts can we withstand this invasion. I am convinced that we will pass these trials with dignity and defend our independence, our home city of Kyiv, and our country, – said the Mayor of Kyiv.
