25 people died, 43 more are still missing: what is known about the Russian strike on Dnipro on January 14

The death toll from the strike on a high-rise building in Dnipro has risen to 25.

The enemy missile ended the life of a 15-year-old girl.

Updated at 14:17. After the Russian cruise missile X-22 hit a high-rise building in Dnipro, 72 people were injured, including 13 children.

It was possible to rescue 39 people, including six minors.

Another 43 people are currently missing.

Updated at 12:26. Around noon, a woman was taken out from under the rubble.

In total, 39 people have been rescued, six of them children.

According to the latest data, 13 children are among more than seven dozen victims.

They are still looking for 40 people under the rubble and continue eliminating the fire.

As of this hour, approximately 3,780 tons of destroyed structures and 39 damaged vehicles have been removed from the shelling site.

Updated at 10:05. The head of the regional council Mykola Lukashuk reported about 21 victims of the missile attack as of 10:00.

Updated at 09:13. Police and the State Emergency Service continue to search for at least 37 missing people.

As of this moment, the Russian missile destroyed 72 apartments. Another 164 are damaged.

– Now, relocating residents of at least 236 apartments is necessary. This is more than 400 people who lived in this building and nearby, – said Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko.

530 people and 144 units of equipment are involved in search and rescue operations.

Rescuers, police, and volunteers are working at the scene.

– As of this morning, we have 18 people killed by a Russian missile in their house in Dnipro. 73 are wounded. More than 40 are in hospitals; four are in intensive care in serious condition, – the head of the regional military administration Valentyn Reznichenko reported the data as of 07:25 on January 15.

The destiny of more than 40 people remains unknown.

According to preliminary information, Saturday’s enemy attack on a residential building in Dnipro destroyed 72 apartments and damaged more than 230 more.

Special services have already removed almost 3.5 thousand tons of debris after dismantling the destroyed structures of the building.

Updated at 07:11. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, 38 people were rescued, six underages.

73 people were injured, including 14 children.

At 07:00, there will be a rotation of rescuers still searching for people under the rubble and eliminating three small smoldering pits.

Near the destroyed house, the State Emergencies Service set up four tents and volunteers – another one.

Psychologists are providing assistance to 40 victims.

 

520 people and 140 units of equipment are engaged in search and rescue operations.

In addition, four dog teams of the Interregional Rapid Response Center of the State Emergency Service from Romny are working at the scene.

20 rescuers and four units of equipment from the capital also arrived to help.

It should be reminded that a high-rise building in Dnipro on Peremohy Naberezhna Street was hit by one of the X-22 cruise missiles launched by the Russians from the Kursk region around 15:30 on January 14.

Defense forces could not shoot down the enemy missile due to the lack of necessary means.

Such air targets can be intercepted, in particular, by Patriot PAC-3 or SAMP-T anti-aircraft missile systems, which in the future can be provided to Ukraine by Western partners.

As of 02.50 on January 15, the number of casualties was 14 people.
